A group of 11 representatives of the Lomas Bayas mining company visited our Center on June 16th. The delegation was formed by supervisors and project leaders who joined an internal innovation program, fostered by the company and counseled by Fundación Chile.
Is in this context that the group from Antofagasta traveled to Santiago to visit several research centers, the AMTC among them. The idea of knowing our Center was to get an insight on the bond between science and enterprise, and how the discoveries and developments made in academia can be successfully carried to the industry.
The representatives attended a general presentation about the AMTC and its main research projects. Later they toured our field robotics lab, hosted by researcher Mauricio Correa, and the hydrometallurgy, biohydrometallurgy and environmental analysis labs, at the FCFM’s Department of Mine Engineering, hosted by researcher Melanie Colet.
