Dr. Andreina García, Lecturer at Environmental Studies International Congress

Dr. Andreina García, researcher of the group on water usage and environmental sustainability, was one of the main speakers of the 2nd International Congress on Environmental Studies, held in Bogotá, Colombia, from September 27th to 29th.

The event was organized by Universidad ECCI, and its goal was to become a reference of scientific and social information source on biodiversity, hydric resources and environmental sustainability, at a national and international level.

Dra, García was part of Day 3 of the congress, focused in sustainable development, with the lecture “Removal of contaminants in aqueous phase using heterogeneous photocatalysis”. Other speakers of the even were Robert John Philips, geologist and advisor to the Canadian Embassy in Colombia; Dr. Antoine Marie Cleef, biologist and emeritus professor at the universities of Amsterdam and Wageningen in Holland, and Randall García, director of Costa Rica’s National Institute of Biodiversity (INBio).
