Fraunhofer Chile Research, with support from the Alta Ley National Mining Program, will launch on January 16th the contest “InnoMine Chile: Innovation for Mining Challenges”, in which 30 researchers and entrepreneurs from Chile will be selected, after submitting projects aimed towards improving competitiveness in the mining industry, specifically in the areas of water, energy, smart mining, new products and new technologies.
The winners will be awarded with a trip to Germany to tour the country’s main research centers and companies that can, with their innovations, support the challenges of the mining industry. That “Innovation Tour”, funded by the German Government and expected to bond the Chilean mining sector to the German strategy for high technology and innovation, will take place from May 29th to June 2nd, 2017.
Applications will be open from January 16th to February 16th, 2017. Terms of agreement and applications method will be announced shortly.
