“Mine Planning and Design” is a R&D group within AMTC, which creates knowledge and transfers it to industry through the development of tools to support the design and planning of mining operations. Its areas of expertise span the fundamental modeling of phenomena, simulation using numerical and physical models, test and validation of these models up to the development of software and guides to aid the decision making in mine planning, design and operation.
